Mel Brindley (Pastor emeritus) - Senior Men's Class
Mel was saved at age 30 in 1961. He began teaching teens and became active in a Baptist church. In answer to God's call to preach, Mel began evening classes at a Christian College and graduated from Bethany Christian College in 1971 with a degree in theology. Mel's preaching ministry began in 1965 and in 1968, he founded the Bible Baptist Church. Mel has been leading the men's classes and various other classes for 40 years, and retired from the active pastorate in 1998. He is now teaching a class for men.
" I enjoy leading this class because I am working with men who have shared similar circumstances. The goal of this class is studying great men of the Bible and to focus on translating our faith down to our children and grandchildren." - Mel
Scott Allen - Young Men's Class
With a focus on using God's Word to build up our young men facing the every day challenges in our modern times, this class encourages our young men to pray with each other and for each other. The class also
puts an emphasis on "staying close to God" through prayer, studying the Bible and attending church. Those attending are encouraged to participate by sharing their concerns or experiences and then using God's word to learn how to deal with such situations. Young men will get firmly grounded in solid doctrine and understanding of how to apply their faith to life.
